his home port in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Captian Tim daily
monitors the changing patterns of all gamefish species on
the Lake Michigan and Green Bay sides of the Door Peninsula,
Captain Tim always knows the WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and HOW that
can make your outing memorable. For warmwater species, Captain
Tim trailers his 19 foot Ranger to many locations along
the Door Peninsula, giving you the opportunity to get into
peak action when hotspots are developing.
March
- April: Ice-out Brown
Trout are on a rampage. Prime time for 20 pound Northern
Pike. Trophy Walleye, too. Lake Trout and Steelhead get
going.
May-June:
Now's the time for acrobatic, hawg Smallmouth Bass- Door
County is perhaps the finest smallie fishery in the Midwest.
Trophy Walleye still going strong. Brown Trout peaking.
Lake Trout and Steelhead gaining momentum.
July-August:
Drag-burning, 30 pound-plus Chinook Salmon quickens your
pulse. Great Smallmouth angling, with exciting action around
the islands. Walleye hook-ups in the moonlight! Big Steelhead
are cruising the thermocline, ambushing baitfish.
September-October:
Absolutely TROPHY TIME, amid the splendor of the
Door's gorgeous fall colors. Five-pound-plus smallmouth,
double digit Walleye and huge Northern Pike when frost is
on the pumpkin. Steelhead and big, spawning-run Brown Trout
move in closer.
November:
Dress warmly… and get ready for that once-in-a-lifetime,
wall hanging Walleye. Depending on the weather, Salmon and
Trout angling can heat up.
